家鄉 Motherland

海洋另一端，
Across the ocean, 
思念是台灣。
Taiwan is my motherland. 
天佑家鄉土，
Heaven bless the land 
保民永世安。

And protect people thereon.

暮色 Twilight

餘暉倦顏暗，
Twilight is tired and dim; 
美景隨下班。
The scenery then calls it a day. 
山水仍健在，
Nature remains healthy, 
養息待明天。
Resting and waiting for tomorrow.

山景 Mountain View

驅車幾刻鐘，
After driving for just dozens of minutes, 
安適瞰群峰。
We easily look over peaks.
勞工鋪道路，
Thanks to those who built the roads, 
遊客享輕鬆。
Tourists have easy times.

感恩時節 Thanksgiving Season

感恩時節雨紛紛，

In this Thanksgiving season the rain kept falling,

路上蛞蝓好嚇人。
And slugs thronged the road.
借問火鍋何處有?

Could you please tell me where I can have a hot pot?

蝸牛遙指山景村。

The snail pointed toward Mountain View.

偶遇 Encounter

偶然理髮時，
By chance I went to the barber’s
歡喜遇新知。
And gladly met a new acquaintance.
欣賞北人畫，

As a result I enjoyed looking at Hou Beiren’s paintings

彩潑山水風，
He splashes colors into scenery,
光照藝林中。
Shines in the art community,
誠懇多稱謝，
Says thanks sincerely and frequently,
慈祥常笑容。
And smiles kindly and constantly.
